Design is a powerful marketing tool. Case-in-point: Questar Capital’s annual calendar with the hidden stars. Every month when we flip the page, the hunt begins and thanks to clever design, we spend a few minutes interacting with the calendar and the branding message it conveys.

Fun fact? Art Directors Jenny Christensen and Maria Hosley helped design the featured images for Questar Capital’s calendar and this is a favorite design job every year. “I love being able to change something that is not real to look so realistic that people don’t realize how it technically can be done,” Christensen says. “I compare my style of retouching with painting. Except, I’m creating a visual using a palette that has already been mixed.”
