Usually we do a round-up of the #4Qs questions each Friday — is a chance to explore the topics a little more deeply and perhaps reach a new audience — but, it is time for a change. Something new.

But, we’re taking Facebook and our Twitter feed in a new direction. Instead of posing questions, we’re going to start answering them by sharing our interesting finds and other relevant content on Twitter and Facebook. We’ll do occasional blog posts to share news, announce contests, share photos, or highlight some of the chatter from social media.

Now, that that is out of the way – here is last week’s #4Qs round-up …

Happy Birthday Mickey Mouse! What’s the origin of your favorite brand?

Seeing the  classic cartoon with sound and music , which was released in 1928, it is interesting to think you are witnessing a vision come to life  as Walt himself voices Mickey . To see this early creation is to see the heart of Disney’s creative, high-quality brand of entertainment: “Get a good idea, and stay with it. Dog it, and work at it until it’s done, and done right,” Walt said.

Tuesday, November 19, was the 150th Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. People across the country are memorizing President Lincoln’s famous speech. Will you  #learntheaddress ?

The living presidents and several other American leaders have for  the upcoming Ken Burns documentary . It is interesting just to reflect on this document. President Obama shared a handwritten essay as a tribute to the Gettysburg Address. It is a personal way to honor the anniversary and an interesting tribute to our times that it is viewable via a website called Scribd , which is something the people of Lincoln’s time could’ve never fathomed!

Last week we mentioned Android paring with Kit Kat. This week it’s all about the Hobbit and Denny’s restaurants. What other cobranding have you come across?

Interesting what appears when you begin to look for co-branding examples. There are a lot of companies pairing up with other companies, personalities, and nonprofits to create and sell products,  ranging from Dairy Queen and the Girl Scouts to Pottery Barn and Benjamin Moore .

Next month the Onion goes digital-only and ceases print. Is there anything out there you read digital only? Do you miss printed news?

The question of reading reveals interesting things —  it seems more than 60 percent of 16-24 year olds prefer paper to ebooks . As for The Onion, the delight it provides will be missed, particularly since Minneapolis is one of the markets it left. But, it seems like it will be popping up in new places — the Onion has been hired by DSW and Amazon.com to bring its special brand of content to their audiences. Talk about interesting co-branding.
