The red wall now showcases the new logo of Pro Litho Creative. This week’s conversations explored trailblazing secrets from the director of Gravity, iconic funny lady Carol Burnett, Apple’s big announcement, and another shameless plug to get you to enter our photo contest.

Gravity is topping the box office. Buzz centers on that trailblazing 13-minute opening shot. What trails are there to blaze in your industry?
A little question worth pondering. And, while you are doing so, it is interesting to note that director Alfonso Cuarón didn’t really set out to blaze trails. He stuck with his interests — being a director and an astronaut. Cuarón started with a vision and realized that his idea wasn’t so simple. But, rather than simplify the idea, he worked through the “headaches” and expanded his options. The end result is changing the game for filmmakers. How could you approach one of your headaches with creativity?

Carol Burnett just got the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. What character or moment do you remember best?
Who doesn’t love Burnett’s Eunice to Vicki Lawrence’s Mama? And, that is just one of countless moments in the 80-year-old entertainer’s award-winning career.

Do you think Apple got their brand back on track Tuesday?
Maybe. There were upgrades and newer, faster, clearer devices with improvements that seemed to speak to the current competition. But, Apple’s Tim Cook says the company has a clear direction and strong goals — one of those is innovation. And there were hints of new things still to come, but no timeline. But, it does appear they are thinking big picture about their fan base and designing an experience for them now and for the future.
