So, it is Friday … and by now, you know what that means! We do our Friday #4Q’s Round-Up …  our Twitter and Facebook chatter explored Cinco de Mayo, Facebook Home, dream projects, and families in the workplaces. Read on:

Cinco de Mayo was yesterday – does your company celebrate holidays or fun days like this internally in a special way?
We have an annual fajitas lunch — this year’s didn’t disappoint with gorgeous temperatures and equally amazing food. Turns out Cinco de Mayo is about a bit more than margaritas and mariachi music. When we were working on a children’s book, we learned that it started as a holiday to commemorate an 1862 battle victory in the Franco-Mexican War. Over time it has grown into today’s celebration of Mexico’s culture and heritage.

Would you use Facebook Home?

This takes Facebook to new levels. We loved seeing Facebook’s light-hearted take on it.

What is your dream project?

For everyone, this question has a different answer — perhaps several. But, creative minds feast on inspiring, large-scale projects like Baz Lurhmann’s The Great Gatsby. We are fascinated hearing the different perspectives and ideas that built this movie. Jay-Z says he thinks of the music like a character. And Luhrmann shared a journal of his process — fun tidbits like how he put the pitch together.

Sunday is Mother’s Day! How do you support families in your workplace?

This has been a hot topic in the news lately with Yahoo and Best Buy retracting work-at-home policies. There’s been a new story developing this week with Yahoo changing their family leave policies — offering 16 weeks of paid maternity leave to working moms. But, families need support throughout a child’s life and as summer schedules begin, many employers are working with families to help with the adjustment.

An invitation: You can let us know your viewpoint — here, on Facebook, or on Twitter — Monday through Thursday, we pose questions ranging from lighter fare to industry-focused topics. Every Friday we look back at the week and dig a little deeper. If you are on Twitter, we are @ProLitho —  please follow us, and join the discussion about this week’s #4Qs. We’d also love to have you check us out at Facebook and LinkedIn.
